BOARD OF DIRECTORS
John Fitzgerald Greene serves as Chairman of the Caribbean Disaster Relief and Recovery Alliance (CDRRA). A native of Antigua and Barbuda, Mr. Greene has over 20 years experience designing programs with the goal of improving the quality of life of marginalized groups. He is the President and CEO of My Second Family Community Resources Services, Inc., which is based in Antigua and provides services and support to the elderly, disabled and at risk youth.
Mr. Greene previously worked as the Compliance Director of Volunteers of America Chesapeake. He was also the Director of Compliance at Total Care Services, Inc., where he managed the Intellectual disabilities program to ensure quality of life and compliance to state and federal regulations.
Mr. Greene has extensive training in Health Care Management from Columbia Union College and Training and development from Institute of Training and Development (INTAN, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia).
Sheniko C. Frett serves as the Vice-Chairman for the Caribbean Disaster Relief and Recovery Alliance (CDRRA). Mr. Frett was born and raised on the island of St. Thomas, USVI but also has roots in the British Virgin Islands. After serving honorably in the United States Navy for 5 years, Mr. Frett embarked on a career of Federal government service. He holds Bachelor degrees in both Information Systems Technology and Instructional System Design.
Additionally, Mr. Frett is the Founder and CEO of Elite Educational Tours’ “Let the Caribbean Be Your Classroom”. He is also part owner of Dollar and A Dream, Inc. and the Chairman of Virgin Islands Worldwide.
Gabriel Christian, Esq. serves as Legal Counsel for the Caribbean Disaster Relief and Recovery Alliance (CDRRA). A native of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Mr. Christian is the Managing Partner of the Law Firm of Gabriel J. Christian and Associates in Bowie, MD.
Mr. Christian also serves as Chairman of Rebuild Dominica and is a founding member of the Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS). He is a published author of several books, and may be renown by many in the Caribbean community for his book entitled Rain on A Tin Roof, which is a colorful and sobering depiction of life in Dominica.
Mr. Christian is an alumnus of the University of the District of Columbia, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the College of Business and Public Management. He also received his J.D. from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Monique Joseph serves as Secretary for the Caribbean Disaster Relief and Recovery Alliance (CDRRA). Ms. Joseph was born and raised on the island of St. Thomas, USVI. She worked previously in the Virgin Islands as a member of the administration of then Governor Schneider in the capacity of Director of Parks and Open Spaces.
Ms. Joseph has a passion for working with vulnerable populations, which include children, the elderly, and adults with disabilities or mental health diagnoses. Ms. Joseph has over 30 years experience in the Health and Human Services (H&HS) industry and holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology. She is also the CEO of the firm called Innovative Business Services that provides consulting services to H&HS organizations in the metro DC area.
Loughton B. Sargeant serves as treasurer for the Caribbean Disaster Relief and Recovery Alliance (CDRRA). Born on the island of Nevis, Mr. Sargeant was raised on the island of St. Croix, USVI. He is a Senior Electrical Engineer with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Rural Utilities Service for over 33 years. He also earnedElectrical Engineering degrees from Hampton University and Old Dominion University.
Mr. Sargeant is an active supporter and recognized leader within the Caribbean community and in the DC, MD and VA (DMV) area. He is a founding member and the Executive Director of DC Caribbean Carnival, Inc. (DCCC). He is likewise a Founding Patron of the Caribbean-American Political Action Committee (C-PAC) as well as the Cultural Program Director for the Institute of Caribbean Studies (ICS); however, Mr. Sargeant is probably best renown in the Caribbean community as the Musical Director and keyboardist for the Image Band.
